Single-Room UFH Control Pack

Description

Designed for small rooms or extensions, this control pack provides temperature-controlled mixed water to underfloor heating systems with a heat output of up to 3 kW, serving areas up to 40 m².

The unit is pre-wired with a flow temperature thermostat and mains connection cable, and includes provision to connect a room thermostat. It features integral ball valves for connecting or isolating the primary heating system, an adjustable thermostatic blending valve, and an “A”-rated 6 m circulating pump. All components are secured to a fixing bracket with anti-vibration mountings for silent operation. G 1/2″ tappings are provided for use with adaptors to connect the unit to the underfloor heating loop or manifolds.

Key Benefits

  • Compact bolt-on unit for quick and simple installation.
  • Provides mixed-temperature water to UFH systems with up to 3 kW heat output.
  • Easy setup with adjustable temperature range.
  • Keeps flow temperature within ± 2 °C even with fluctuating boiler flow and temperature.

Installation

The single-room UFH control pack is designed for wall fixing and should ideally be mounted horizontally with the electrical connection box uppermost. It may also be mounted vertically (pump up or down) if desired. Adequate venting must be provided to protect the pump from cavitation. The unit must not be floor-mounted or installed in any position that inclines the pump shaft vertically. Refer to the pump installation leaflet for details.

Choose a location that ensures clearance and accessibility for pipework and future maintenance. If installed in a cupboard or enclosed space, this is particularly important. Mark the fixing positions through the bracket, then drill (8 mm masonry drill) and plug the holes. Align and secure the unit to the wall using the screws provided.

The unit is then ready to connect to the primary heating supply and UFH loops. If appropriate, the unit can be connected to the UFH loop(s), filled, and pressurised via the integral ball valves, and then locked off for floor screeding before making the boiler connection.
