Single Room with 6/7.5 Meter Pump
Designed for use in small rooms or extensions, it provides temperature-controlled mixed water to underfloor heating systems with a heat output of up to 3 kW, satisfying underfloor heating areas of up to 40 sqm.
Single-Room UFH Control Pack
UFH control pack for providing temperature-controlled mixed water in single-room applications to an underfloor heating system with a heat output up to 3 kW. The pump is pre-wired with a flow-temperature thermostat and mains connection cable, with provision to connect a room thermostat. The unit includes integral ball valves for connecting/isolating the primary heating system, an adjustable thermostatic blending valve, and an “A”-rated 6 m circulating pump, all mounted on a fixing bracket with anti-vibration mountings for quiet operation. G 1/2″ tappings are provided to connect the unit to the UFH loop or manifolds.
Key Benefits
- Provides mixed-temperature water to UFH systems (up to 3 kW heat output).
- Easy setup with adjustable temperature range.
- Controls flow temperature to ± 2 °C even with fluctuating boiler temperature and flow.
- Compact bolt-on unit for quick and simple installation.
Installation
The single-room UFH control pack is designed for wall fixing and should ideally be mounted horizontally with the electrical connection box uppermost. It may also be mounted vertically (pump up or down) if desired. Provide air venting to protect the pump from cavitation. Do not floor-mount or install in any position that inclines the pump shaft vertically. Refer to the pump installation leaflet enclosed.
Choose a location with adequate clearance and accessibility for pipework and future maintenance (especially if enclosed in a cupboard). Mark fixing holes through the bracket and protect electrical equipment/cables during handling.
Maintenance
The performance of the Heatguard UFH blending valve should be checked annually and verified against the original installation performance. For severe water/installation conditions, check more frequently.
- Isolate hot flow and cold return, remove the valve from the installation, noting part orientation for correct re-assembly.
- To clean internals: remove the cap (Allen key), then the plastic locking ring, then unscrew the large hex nut to remove the headwork.
- Slide the piston and thermostat assembly out; clean internal surfaces and O-rings with clean running water.
- Lightly lubricate the body O-ring and piston exterior with a WRAS-approved silicone waterproof grease.
- Re-assemble the Heatguard UFH blending valve, reset and test the valve.
